About
About Hotel Hacker
Hotel Hacker explains how hotel loyalty programs work and how to get real value from them: elite status, free-night certificates, club lounges, upgrades and the fees that hide in a booking. It’s for business travellers with status, families planning award stays, and anyone deciding whether hotel loyalty is worth the effort at all.
What we focus on
We separate what a program guarantees from what’s merely possible. Benefit guides quote the program’s own wording, link to its terms, and say when they were checked. When a benefit is discretionary, like most upgrades, we say so plainly.
Our editor holds elite status with one of the big hotel programs, and some guides draw on that experience. When they do, they say so and label it as personal experience, not a promise.
What we don’t do
- We don’t promise upgrades, late checkout or other benefits that hotels decide case by case.
- We don’t publish “best program” rankings without a stated method.
- We don’t use hotel logos or branded images.
- We don’t invent stays or reviews.
